Information For Authors
Submission Guidelines for Authors
Pre-Submission
Prior to submitting your work, please carefully examine the Journal Description and Aims and Scope statements available on the IJLD website to verify that your research aligns with and falls within the journal's objectives and scope. Primarily, if a work lacks sufficient emphasis on leadership, it will not be accepted for review and sent back to the authors.
Submission Format
All papers submitted must follow the style of the American Psychological Association (APA) in terms of referencing, however, any presentation style is accepted for the manuscript itself as long as it is clear. All papers must be submitted in a single file with all tables and figures merged with the main document, except in those rare cases when a figure is in a file format that cannot be merged. Also, articles should be anonymised since the journal employs a double-blinded review. The title page (with authors’ names and details) should be presented separately from the main manuscript.
Title Page
The title page lists the authors and presents their details. It should include the following:
- Full article title
- Each author’s complete name and institutional affiliation(s)
- ORCID numbers (if present)
- A designation for the corresponding author
- Acknowledgements
- Declaration of Conflicts of Interest

The main manuscript should include the following sections in order: Abstract, Main Body, References, Tables, Figures,
Abstract
Present the abstract (up to 250 words) on a separate page with the whole title of the article as the heading. Please include 3-5 keywords. Omit the author(s)’s names.

They must have figure captions and be numbered sequentially in the text's order of appearance. The figures in the published article will be presented according to their original numbering in that sequence. When the figure is submitted, the resolution should be 300 dpi.
Copyright
Prospective authors are required to obtain all requisite permissions before submitting manuscripts.
Post-Submission
The editor reviews every submission. At this point, they have the option to reject or withdraw your submission if it does not align with the journal's objectives and scope, or if they believe the language or quality of the paper is inadequate.
If deemed appropriate for the publication, it will be sent to a minimum of two independent referees for double-blind peer assessment. After receiving input from the reviewers, the editor might choose to accept your manuscript, suggest minor or substantial adjustments, or reject your work. The editor will notify you of the first decision within 60 days.
We will provide you with automatic updates on the development of your article via our submission system. Alternatively, you may log in to see the current status of your work. We will provide you with the manuscript number assigned to you at the time of submission in every communication. If you get an email that does not meet these criteria, it may be fraudulent. We suggest contacting the journal editor as a first step.
Interested in submitting to this journal? We recommend that you review the About JLD page for the journal's section policies, as well as the Author Guidelines. Authors need to register with the journal prior to submitting or, if already registered, can simply log in and begin the five-step process.
